The high altitudes have always represented the alpine environment par excellence, where the noises of the valley do not arrive, where the horizons are lost to our sight and the heart finds peace and serenity on the vast expanses of the glaciers, as we were small boats in the middle of the big Sea. Where sunrises and sunsets seem to escort the inexorable advancing of time and life on our planet and everything is lost in a continual change of colors, where the rarefaction of the air marks the slow pace and cadence of our journey, where long valleys and tiny breaches mark the direction, where at least for a few moments we feel that we are in the right place at the right moment.
